In the case of collapse of a six-storey building in Surat, Gujarat, the police have registered a criminal case against three people including the builder. Also, one accused has been arrested. Let us tell you that a six-storey building collapsed on Saturday in Pali village under Surat Municipal Corporation. After a lot of hard work, a woman was safely taken out, but seven people died.

The building suddenly collapsed
The six-storey Kailash Raj Residency in Sachin GIDC area of ​​Surat has turned into rubble. On Saturday afternoon, the people living in this building were in their homes when suddenly the building collapsed. The Surat Fire Brigade team started the rescue operation on the spot. NDRF and SDRF teams were also called for help.

7 people died
After a lot of hard work, a woman was safely taken out of the debris but 7 people died. The debris is being removed after about 16 hours. In this case, the police have registered a case against the building owner Raj Kakadiya and his mother Ramila Kakadiya and the building’s caretaker Ashwin Vekariya under Section 105 and 54 of the Indian Penal Code.

The condition of the building was not habitable
It has been learned that, during the investigation, it was found that the accused knew that the condition of the building was not habitable. Despite this, these people had given the flats on rent. Along with this, the tenants had also complained about the repair. But they were assured that the repair would be done next year.
