Uttarakhand / Champawat: Lohaghat MLA visited the disaster affected area, devastation was caused due to cloudburst
The devastation caused by cloudburst in Lohaghat of Champawat a few days ago had created disaster-like conditions in the village panchayats of Saal, Machhiyad and Chaurapita of Ladhiya valley area of Pati block. Many footbridges, gharats, roads, drinking water schemes and even fields were washed away in the area. Due to which the villagers suffered heavy losses. On Sunday, the Lohaghat MLA took stock of the disaster-affected area.

Taking cognizance of the disaster, Lohaghat MLA Khushal Singh Adhikari reached the disaster-affected area and took stock of the damage caused by torrential rains. Along with this, he met the disaster victims and assured them of all possible help. The MLA instructed the officials from the spot to assess the disaster as soon as possible and give compensation to the villagers.
Change in disaster standards will be demanded from CM: MLA
Lohaghat MLA Khushal Singh Adhikari said that he is standing with his people in this hour of grief. He said that soon a demand will be made to the Chief Minister to change the disaster standards. The villagers informed the MLA about the heavy losses in the area. It is known that cloudburst had caused heavy destruction in these areas.
