After the nameplate controversy, now the court has reached an order to keep meat shops closed, this argument was given

After the Yogi government of UP issued an order to put nameplates on the shops, the controversy over it is not taking the name of stopping. On one hand, while the matter was heard in the Supreme Court, now another case has reached the court. In fact, a petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court challenging the Varanasi Municipal Corporation’s order to close meat shops on the Kanwar Yatra route in the month of Sawan. National Democratic Party President Mohammad Suhail has filed this petition.

Violation of fundamental rights

In this petition filed by Mohammad Suhail, it has been argued that the said order not only violates the fundamental freedom to do any business, trade or business, but also the fundamental rights to live life with dignity and personal freedom. According to the petitioner, the practice of Kanwar in Sawan has been going on for ages and during this time meat shops have always been open, so by passing such an order, the officials are trying to exclude on the basis of identity.

Impact on the livelihood of shopkeepers

The petitioner also argued that the authorities passed the order without considering the fact that this would affect the livelihood of the shopkeepers because the income from these shops is their means of livelihood. It said that such a decision violates the fundamental right to personal liberty as it prevents those individuals who wish to consume meat and who have been advised by the doctor to take meat or non-vegetarian food.

Controversy also continues regarding nameplate

Let us tell you that recently, amid the ongoing nameplate controversy regarding Kanwar Yatra, Varanasi Municipal Corporation had issued an order to keep the meat shops falling on the route of Kanwar Yatra closed in the month of Sawan.
