Uttarakhand: Demand for expansion of AIIMS Rishikesh echoed in Parliament, MP raised the issue and told the big reason

Rajya Sabha MP from Uttarakhand Naresh Bansal has raised the demand for planning the expansion of AIIMS Rishikesh in the House. In his address, he said that AIIMS Rishikesh is providing medical facilities to Kumaon, Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Himachal, due to which the number of patients is increasing. In such a situation, AIIMS Rishikesh is facing additional pressure. There is a need to increase the nursing staff to provide better treatment facilities to the people, so permission should be given to expand AIIMS Rishikesh.

Sushma Swaraj had laid the foundation of AIIMS Rishikesh

MP Naresh Bansal said that we got AIIMS Rishikesh during the government of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The foundation of AIIMS Rishikesh was laid by Sushma Swaraj on 2 February 2004. AIIMS Rishikesh is proving to be a boon for the people of the state today. OPD was started in AIIMS Rishikesh from 27 May 2013. IPD was started on 30 December 2013 and surgery was started from 2 June 2014, due to which patients from other states have also started coming here.

51 special clinics added in AIIMS Rishikesh

AIIMS doctors have been determined at every opportunity to increase the facilities in AIIMS Rishikesh. At present there are 1030 students in various courses and 51 special clinics have been added. The inpatient facility which had 200 beds in 2013 has now been increased to 960 beds.
