Neo Farswan won the award for best director and Saurav Maithani won the award for singer

Neo Farswan has been awarded the Best Director Award under Young Uttarakhand Cine Award 2024 for ‘Surila Geet’. Neo Farswan is a resident of Juner, a remote village of Narayanbagh in Chamoli district and is currently living in Dehradun with his family.

On Saturday, the 12th edition of Young Uttarakhand Cine Award was organized at Nehru Auditorium Delhi. On this occasion, artists who made outstanding contributions to Uttarakhand regional cinema and music in the year 2023 were honored in various categories. There is an atmosphere of happiness in Pindar Valley and his native village Juner on Neo getting the award. He thanked Surila Geet’s lyrics artist Pradeep Farswan and the entire team. Neo received his primary education from the school in Juner village. After this, he completed further studies from Dehradun. He is doing research on folk tunes, folk songs and culture of Uttarakhand.

Saurav Maithani awarded with the title of Best Singer
Uttarakhand singer Saurav Maithani has been awarded with the title of Best Singer. The 12th edition of Young Uttarakhand Cine Award was organized on 31 August at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. More than five thousand spectators participated in it. Let us tell you that Young Uttarakhand Cine Award has been organizing grand events to honor folk artists in Uttarakhand music and film world. In this series, the award for the best singer in the year 2024 was given to the song (Pahadon Ko Rebasi) of folk singer Saurav Maithani.
