Uttarakhand: There will be heavy rains from mountains to plains, IMD has issued alert for seven districts

There is a possibility of rain in Uttarakhand from the mountains to the plains today. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain for seven districts including Dehradun and appealed to be cautious.

According to Vikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Dehradun, Haridwar, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar, Nainital and Champawat districts today. In view of which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is also expected in the remaining districts.
JCB driver dies due to landslide
