Political battle erupts over demographic change in Uttarakhand, Congress demands issuance of a white paper

Congress is constantly attacking the Dhami government over the increasing crimes in Uttarakhand. Congress says that today the situation in the state has become very bad. The Supreme Court has also advised the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand ‘not to work like a king’. Congress state vice-president Suryakant Dhasmana said that it does not seem that there is anything called a government in the state.

Dhasmana said, ‘The cabinet minister of the state government itself does not know when his departments were transferred and promoted. Similarly, a woman gets an Aadhar card made in the name of the husband of the woman cabinet minister of the state. Cases of violence against women are not stopping in Uttarakhand. The BJP government of the state is working to save the BJP leaders who commit crimes against women.’

He said that instead of taking effective steps to stop this in Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister, who is also the Home Minister of the state, is talking about demographic change. The Congress has demanded the Chief Minister of the state to issue a white paper on demographic change on behalf of the government. Dhasmana says that the people of the state should also be told whether the demographics have changed and who is responsible for this?

The Congress says that the situation in the state has become such that teachers are on strike, the health facilities of the state have become dilapidated. The entire state is struggling with disaster. But the BJP government with a huge majority is not able to improve the situation. In such a situation, the Congress has no option left except to take to the streets.
