A program was organized on the occasion of Hindi Diwas in the capital Dehradun on Saturday. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal were present in the program. Meanwhile, CM Dhami honored school children and litterateurs who performed well in various languages. The CM said that Hindi Diwas is a celebration of our culture, identity and our pride. Hindi language is not just a language, but the soul of our country. Hindi has enriched our civilization along with connecting the society.
Hindi being taught in Japan and Finland
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the fame of Hindi is not limited to India only, but it has become a major means of communication in the entire Indian subcontinent. Today Hindi is being studied in other countries of the world including Japan and Finland. This is the reason why the number of Hindi speakers is increasing continuously today. He said that everyone should take a pledge that we respect our mother tongue Hindi. It is the responsibility of everyone to make Hindi a strong language in the 21st century, for that it is necessary to start it with your mother tongue.
CM Dhami shared childhood memories
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while sharing his childhood memories, said that refugees from Bangladesh also lived in his hometown Khatima. He did not even realize when he learned the Bengali language while playing with them. He also said that due to the Nepal border, he used to go to Nepal, due to which he also learned Nepali.
Sahitya Bhushan Samman Yojana will be started
Many works have been done to promote and spread Hindi and to keep it moving forward like a legacy in the new generation, under which Sahitya Gaurav Samman Yojana was started earlier. In such a situation, now Sahitya Bhushan Samman Yojana is going to be started. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 5 lakh will be given. Along with this, Lifetime Achievement Award will also be given to the people working in the field of literature, so that people working in the field of literature and language can be encouraged.
