The discussion was that the rights of Major Dhyanchand’s biopic have been bought by Karan Johar. When Karan heard about the project, he immediately agreed to make it. Karan was supposed to make the film with Shah Rukh Khan, but the film was canned due to the post production time. After this Ronnie Screwvala bought the rights of the film and now he is going to make it on a very big scale.

In the world of sports, Dhyanchand is called Dadda. His birthday is celebrated as National Sports Day. Dhyanchand represented the Indian team from the years 1926 to 1948. He won the gold medal in 1928, 1932, 1936 Olympics. He played around 185 international matches and scored more than 400 goals. Major Dhyanchand’s admirers were Adolf Hitler, the ruler of Germany and Sir Don Bradman, the greatest cricket player.

Varun will play the lead role in the horror comedy film Bhadiya. Kriti Sanon will be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s film with her. He will also be seen in the film Jug Jug Jio.
