There was so much uproar over the death of a donkey in Bihar’s Buxar district that the police had to register an FIR against 65 people. According to reports, an FIR has been registered against 65 villagers for creating a ruckus over the death of a donkey due to alleged electrocution in Kesath block of the district and disrupting the power supply in the area. Giving information about this, the police said that the villagers had created a ruckus and disrupted the power supply in the area for about 3 hours.
Power supply was stopped on September 11
Giving information about the case on Friday, Buxar Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya said, ‘Immediately after the incident, a large number of villagers gathered outside the Chakouda Power Grid Station in the area and started demanding compensation. Some villagers entered the power grid office and stopped the power supply of the area.’ He said that the incident took place on September 11. The official said that later a senior official of the state electricity department lodged a complaint against the villagers for disrupting power supply and obstructing the work of government employees.
Villagers had also complained on September 13
The SP said that based on the complaint of the concerned SDO of the state electricity department, the police have registered an FIR against 65 villagers for disrupting power supply in the area for 3 hours. A local police officer, on condition of anonymity, said that the power supply disrupted for 3 hours could be restored after the intervention of senior officials of the department. It is being told that the villagers had also lodged a complaint against the electricity department officials on September 13 on this issue. The matter is being further investigated by the police.
