Uttarakhand: Dhami government’s gift to medical officers, promotion process to Additional and Joint Director posts completed, government order will be issued soon
The Uttarakhand Health Department has given a big gift to the medical officers. The wish of the medical officers who have been waiting for promotion for a long time has been fulfilled. An important meeting of DPC was held in the Secretariat on Monday under the chairmanship of Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar. In the DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee) meeting, the process of DPC has been completed for the posts of 25 Additional Directors and 30 Joint Directors.
After the completion of the DPC process, it is now expected that the employees associated with the Provincial Medical Health Services Association may postpone their strike. However, doctors across the state are doing symbolic protests by wearing black bands.
While talking to the media, the official associated with the Provincial Medical Health Services Association said that the issue of DPC was very important in their demands. But after talking to all the employees and officials, they will decide whether to go on strike or not on October 4.
At the same time, Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that the government has always been paying attention to the demands of the doctors. The secretary said that there were many shortcomings in the proposal received from the Directorate General, due to which it took time for the DPC to be held. But in today’s DPC meeting, the committee has taken a decision on the posts of 25 Additional Directors and 30 Joint Directors. Therefore, a formal order will soon be issued in this regard. Apart from this, a decision will also be taken soon on SDACP.
