Congress wrote a letter to CM Dhami regarding land law, Mahara demanded a ban on registration of land purchase and sale in Uttarakhand

Congress state president Karan Mahara has written a letter to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami. He has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand demanding an immediate ban on the registrations currently being done for land purchase and sale. He has also demanded the implementation of strict land laws in the state.
In a letter to the CM, Karan Mahara said that for a long time, the people of Uttarakhand have been agitating for the implementation of strong land laws in the state. This state is a Himalayan state where people from outside the state can buy agricultural land of mountainous areas for non-agricultural purposes. Due to the lack of strong land laws in Uttarakhand, people from outside the state are buying the land of the state on a large scale. Outsiders are occupying the resources of the state. Due to which local natives and landholders are now becoming landless. Due to the lack of strong land laws in the state, the culture, tradition, identity and identity of this hill state are being adversely affected.
Karan Mahara says that there are strict rules and regulations related to the purchase of agricultural land in many states of the country, Uttarakhand’s neighboring state Himachal Pradesh also has a complete ban on the purchase of agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes. After the formation of Uttarakhand state in 2000, many changes have been made in the land related laws till now. The land purchase process has been made easier by citing industries. The Congress state president has raised the demand that if the state government is serious about strict land law in the state, then the registrations currently being done for land purchase and sale should be stopped immediately. Along with this, a strong land law should be implemented in the state by implementing the suggestions given by the Land Law Coordination Struggle Committee. So that the remaining land of the state can be saved from being destroyed.
