Rajasthan: Sad! ‘Take a bowl and beg’, parents upset with their son, daughter-in-law and daughters jumped into a tank, pasted suicide notes at various places on the wall

In Rajasthan’s Karni Colony of Nagaur city, an elderly couple committed suicide after being upset with the son and daughter-in-law fighting for 3 plots. The elderly couple committed suicide by jumping into a water tank together. The entire area was shocked by this incident. Initially it came to light that this couple was living alone in this house. There were many disputes going on among the family members including property and due to this discord, the elderly couple at the age of 70 took such a shocking step.

What is the whole matter?

Nagaur Superintendent of Police Narayan Togas said that elderly Hazariram Vishnoi and his wife Chawali Devi, living in the city’s Karni Colony, have committed suicide. The deceased Hazari Ram is about 70 years old and his wife Chawali Devi is 68 years old. When the neighbors did not see the elderly couple for the last two days, they informed their son about this. After this, the son of the elderly couple informed the Kotwali police station and expressed apprehension of something untoward. On receiving the information, the Kotwali police station reached the spot. When we went there, we found that the lid of the tank filled with water was open and the bodies of the old couple were floating in the water.

Before jumping into the tank, Hazariram had written a suicide note. The most surprising thing is that the suicide note has been pasted at various places on the walls of the house. From the things mentioned in the suicide note, it seems that this whole matter is related to family feud and property. The old couple has accused their own sons, their wives and daughters in the suicide note. Apart from this, there is also mention of harassment by many other relatives. It is mentioned in the suicide note that the old couple was being harassed and the family members of others including their own sons are accused.

Children beat up old parents

The couple has 4 children, including two sons and two daughters. In the two-page suicide note pasted on the walls of the house, they have written that the sons and daughters-in-law of the old couple not only beat them up at least five times but also threatened to kill them. They also stopped giving them food and the son called and said, ‘Take a bowl, beg. I will not give you food. If you tell anyone, I will kill you.’ The couple told that all their children want the property which is in their name.

Bodies found in the tank after searching the house

On the matter, the Superintendent of Police of Nagaur said that he received information on Thursday that no movement was seen in the house of Hazariram and Chawali Devi and when he searched the house, he found the bodies in the tank. After the family and relatives arrived, the bodies were taken out of the tank and kept in the mortuary. The police has started its investigation on the basis of this suicide note. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, police officers including the SP reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Along with the police team, the FSL team has also collected evidence.
