Uttarakhand: Dhikana zone of Corbett National Park will open on November 15, it was packed for night stay even before opening
The most famous Dhikala zone of the world famous Jim Corbett National Park is going to open for tourists from November 15. Tourists from India and abroad have been waiting for its opening for a long time. All the night rest rooms located in different areas of Dhikala were packed on the first day itself. With this, the opening of Dhikana zone will once again accelerate tourism activities. Along with Corbett Park, the movement of tourists will also increase in different areas of Nainital district. The first choice of tourists is to see the biodiversity and wildlife of the Dhikala zone of Corbett Park.
Let us tell you that every year from June 15, the famous Dhikala zone of Corbett Park is closed for tourists. This decision is taken in view of the safety of tourists during the monsoon season. Now, with the preparation to open the park for tourists after the monsoon season ends from November 15, online booking was open from October 6 to October 12 for night stay in different areas of Dhikala. In which all the night rest rooms located in different areas of Dhikala got packed on the first day itself.
While giving information, Amit Gwasakoti, park warden of Corbett Tiger Reserve, said that the online site for night rest was opened from 6 October, 45 days before the opening of Dhikala zone. In which tourists could book online for night rest from 15 to 21 November. All the rooms of Dhikala were packed for night rest on the first day itself. He said that now on 13 October, online booking for night rest in this zone will be opened again, which will be opened for night rest from 21 to 27 November. He said that a tourist can stay for up to three nights in Dhikala or other zones of Corbett Park.
It is worth noting that tourists have made bookings for day visit and night safari in all the zones of Corbett Park, in which tourists can enjoy night stay in main Dhikala, Sarpduli, Gairal, Sultan of Dhikala zone as well as Bijrani, Jhirna, Garjia, Sona River, Durga Devi, Pakharo and Mundiya water. With the night stay of Dhikala zone of Corbett Park being packed, there is a wave of happiness among the businessmen associated with tourism.
It is worth noting that there is a facility of 30 rooms in Dhikala zone of Corbett Park. It has a facility of 12 dormitories. Apart from this, there are 6 rooms and 8 bed dormitory in Gairal of Dhikala itself. There are 2 rooms in Sultan, 2 rooms in Malani, 7 rooms in Bijrani zone. There is a facility of 2 rooms in Dhela tourist zone. There is a facility of 4 rooms in Jhirna zone. There is a facility of 2 rooms in Pakharo zone. There is a facility of 2 rooms in Sona River. It is worth noting that Corbett Park has earned a lot of money in the year 2023-24. Talking about the movement of tourists till 15 June 2024 in the year 2023-24, 4 lakh 36 thousand six hundred tourists enjoyed day safari along with night stay in Corbett Park. Due to which the Corbett administration has earned Rs 26 crore 29 lakh 45 thousand.
