Dhami participated in the program organized on World Standards Bureau, said that Standards Bureau is important to fulfill the dream of developed India

On the occasion of World Standards Day, various programs are being organized across the country. In this sequence, a program was also organized by the Regional Office of the Bureau of Indian Standards in Dehradun. During the program, information was given about the work being done by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Also, it was emphasized that people must look for hallmark while buying any product. So that better quality product can be used. CM Dhami inaugurated this program.

During this, CM Dhami said that any standards are not just technical guidelines or criteria, but they are the foundation of development and self-reliance of our country. The standards made by the Bureau of Indian Standards play a very important role in the certification of our industries, trade and services. These not only ensure the quality of our work, but also affect the life of every citizen of the country in some way or the other.

The CM said that in recent years, the ecosystem of standards has expanded extensively, which now covers almost all sectors including agriculture, road transport, health and other services. Standards of high quality, safety and efficiency should be implemented in all areas, which will improve our standard of living. CM Dhami said that the dream of ‘self-reliant India’ is being realized under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this, the role of standards set by the Bureau of Indian Standards is also very important.

He said that the objective of the Prime Minister is that Indian products should set an example in the whole world for their quality, innovation and reliability. To fulfill this objective, more than 22 thousand standards have been set by the Bureau of Indian Standards. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand, along with being a beautiful state rich in natural resources, is also progressing rapidly in industrial and agricultural development, so there is an extreme need to follow the standards in our state.
