Jemima made serious allegations against PMLN government
Imran Khan has been lodged in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi for more than a year and several cases are going on against him. To prevent any kind of protest during the SCO meeting and for security reasons, the Punjab government had banned Imran Khan from meeting anyone from 7 October to 18 October. Expressing displeasure over this, Jemima Goldsmith wrote that for the past few years she has been harassed on social media by supporters of Pakistan’s ruling party PMLN. She is receiving rape threats.
Jemima accused Imran of isolation
British citizen Jemima Goldsmith married Imran Khan in 1995 and they divorced in 2004. They have two sons from their marriage, who live in Britain. Jemima accused Imran Khan of isolation in jail and claimed that the electricity in Imran’s cell has been turned off in jail and he is not allowed to leave his cell. Also, his cook has been sent on leave. Expressing concern over this, Jemima also said that the Pakistan government has detained Imran Khan’s nephew Hassan Niazi since last year and Imran’s sisters were also arrested recently. Jemima said that Imran’s sons are also not being allowed to talk to their father. Jemima said that PTI workers are being tortured and the government wants to suppress the voice of protest.
