The report quoted three US defense officials as saying that the US Central Command Force carried out several airstrikes on Iran-backed Houthi weapons storage facilities in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.

US officials said the facilities targeted housed weapons used to target military and civilian ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The US military has used the B-2 Spirit bomber for this attack. This is the first time the US has used a stealth bomber against the Houthis in Yemen. This attack was carried out in Yemen early Thursday morning local time.

The US attacked alone
