The CM said that Uttarakhand will become the first state in the country to implement the UCC. The government will now study the rules. The Chief Minister said that the UCC is for equality for all. The public broke years old myths

Let us tell you that CM Dhami had promised the people of Uttarakhand to implement the UCC in the state two days before the assembly elections. The CM said that the credit for the UCC goes to the people of the state, who gave him a chance to form the government. Giving information, the CM said that the rules of UCC are in four parts. Soon there will be a cabinet meeting and UCC will be implemented after discussion.

UCC got approval from the President

The CM said that Uttarakhand will become the first state in the country to implement UCC. We have fulfilled the resolution we had taken. Let us tell you that a committee was formed under the chairmanship of retired judge Ranjana Desai. The bill was passed by the Assembly on 7 February 2024. After which UCC got approval from the President on 12 March 2024. After this, a committee was formed under the chairmanship of former CS Shatrughan Singh for the rules and implementation.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabur, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Special Secretary Riddham Aggarwal, Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari were present.
