Uttarakhand: New initiative of Dhami government, family reunion of women living in Nari Niketan is being done

On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a family reunion program is being run to reunite the destitute women living in Nari Niketan operated in Kedarpuram, Dehradun under the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development with their families. This initiative of the Uttarakhand government is adding color to the lives of the destitute living in Nari Niketan.

Family reunion of women living in Nari Niketan is being done

Under the Family Reunion Program being run by the Dhami government, so far 23 women have been reunited with their estranged families. Under this program, the estranged families of these women have been searched not only in different states of the country but also in Nepal, Bangladesh. In this, Noor Jahan of Bangladesh has been able to find her family after 32 years. Similarly, Juni Topo, a resident of Ranchi, Jharkhand, has also been able to meet her family after 30 years. Under the program, not only are destitute women brought back home, but their safety is also ensured even after that.

Family reunion program has given good results: CM

Let us tell you that a network is created for this. In this way the government ensures that the lives of women remain safe despite meeting the family after many years. CM Dhami said that Nari Niketan gives safe shelter to destitute women, but it is proven that every person can be happy only among his family. Therefore, the government is trying to reunite all the women living here with their families. For this, the family reunion program being run has given good results. The government is also providing skill development training to the women living here.
