According to the information received from the police, a complaint was received regarding the theft in Bhumiya temple on October 2. The very next day police arrested Bhavna Devi alias Bhanu wife Puran Singh and Girdhar Singh alias Guddu. While the mastermind of the theft Puran Singh was absconding. On Thursday, police arrested the accused from Bhatkot Chaukhutia.

Police said that Puran Singh was absconding since the arrest of his wife and brother. The accused had committed more than 15 thefts till now along with his wife and brother. Accused Puran and his wife Bhavna have also gone to jail in 2023 in a theft case.
