There was a stir in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand when the body of an unknown woman was found inside a bag on the side of NH-74. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the body in their custody and started investigation. The police has sent the body for postmortem after filling the Panchnama of the body.

This entire case is of Mohanpur No. 1 of NH-74 located in Dineshpur area of ​​Udham Singh Nagar district. Here the body of a woman was found inside a bag in a field. Earlier, like Dineshpur, on July 31, the police had recovered the body of a woman stuffed in a bag in the river of Beni Mazar in Kichha Kotwali area.

Similarity in two incidents

The color of the bag found at both the places is the same. Due to the similarity in both the incidents, there is a possibility of a link with each other. At present, the police has sent the body for postmortem after filling the Panchnama of the body, the real cause of death will be revealed only after the postmortem.

The police also took the bag used in the incident into their possession and started investigating the entire case. The police is examining the CCTV footage installed around the incident site. Earlier, the forensic and dog squad team investigated the spot.

No clue found in two and a half months

Like the Dineshpur police station area, the body of a woman was found in the river near Beni Mazar in Kichha Kotwali area, which the police has been investigating for the last two and a half months. However, the police has not achieved any success so far.

The police had also contacted the police stations and Kotwali police of many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to identify the deceased woman, but even after two and a half months, the police did not find any clue and neither could the deceased be identified.

Police investigated in 8 districts

Four teams were formed to identify the body of the unknown woman found in Kichha Kotwali area and to investigate the entire case. All four teams of Kotwali police had tried to gather information about the deceased in Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad and Pilibhit of Uttar Pradesh.

Apart from this, the investigation team had also tried to gather information about the woman in Nainital, Bageshwar, Champawat and Almora of Uttarakhand. During this time, the police examined dozens of CCTV footage, but even after more than two and a half months, no clue was found in the case.

Five teams formed for investigation

SP City Manoj Katyal said that the body of a woman was found inside a bag in Dineshpur police station area. Five teams have been formed on the instructions of SSP sir to reveal the incident. The team of Kichha Kotwali is also included in this.

SP City Manoj Katyal said that the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the place where the body was found is being investigated. The incident will be revealed soon.
