Case of firing at Salman’s house; Preparations underway to bring Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol from US, Mumbai Police begins extradition process

The process of bringing Anmol Bishnoi, accused of firing at actor Salman Khan’s house, from America has started. On April 14, two bike-borne men opened fire at Salman’s house. However, there was no loss of life or property. Anmol is the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is lodged in Sabarmati Jail.

A senior officer of the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police said that the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) Court has already issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of Anmol. The court has also issued a red corner notice for his search abroad.

According to the Mumbai Police, some court documents are still awaited, after which a formal proposal for extradition will be sent to the Central Government for further action. The Special Court had approved his application of the Crime Branch on October 16. It is expected that the police will get the documents soon.

Earlier on October 25, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for the arrest of gangster Lawrence’s brother Anmol Bishnoi. Apart from firing at Salman’s house, Anmol is also accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and Baba Siddiqui.

Salman Khan was at home at the time of firing

On April 14, at 5 am, two bike-borne attackers fired 4 rounds at Salman’s house Galaxy Apartment. Salman was in his house at the time of firing. After the incident, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde spoke to Salman Khan on the phone. Shinde had asked the Mumbai Police Commissioner to increase Salman’s security.

The Lawrence Bishnoi Group took responsibility for the firing. Group member Anmol Bishnoi shared a post. It was written in it that Salman may be attacked in the coming time as well. However, this post was not confirmed by the police.

Lawrence threatened Salman in March 2023 Salman Khan’s security was increased after he received a threat from Lawrence Bishnoi in March 2023. He has been given Y+ category security by the Maharashtra government. The NIA had said that Khan was at the top of the list of 10 people who were threatened to be killed by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The Bishnoi community is angry over the 1998 blackbuck hunting incident, citing which Lawrence had threatened to kill Salman in a TV interview.

Y+ security received after threat, 11 jawans stay with Salman Earlier, Maharashtra Police personnel used to stay with him, but after receiving the threat, he has been given Y+ category security. In this security circle, 11 jawans stay with Salman at all times, it also includes one or two commandos and 2 PSOs. There are always two vehicles to escort Salman’s car in front and behind. Along with this, Salman’s car is also completely bulletproof.

When did he receive threats before this

1. In June 2022, when Salman’s father Salim Khan returned home after going for a morning walk, he received an anonymous letter, in which he and Salman were threatened with death. The letter read – ‘Salman Khan will make you like Moosewala.’ After this, Salim Khan contacted the police with the help of his security personnel and a case was registered in this regard at Bandra police station. 2. Last year, Mumbai Police detained the person who threatened to kill Salman by calling him. The person who threatened was a 16-year-old minor. He threatened Mumbai Police through a call and told his name as Rocky Bhai. He said that he is a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan and will kill Salman on 30 April. 3. Last year itself, Dhakadram, a resident of Jodhpur, had sent 3 e-mails to Salman’s official mail. It was written that Salman Khan, you are next, you will be killed like Sidhu Moosewala as soon as you come to Jodhpur. 4. In January 2024, two unknown people tried to enter Salman Khan’s farmhouse by breaking the fencing wire. When the police caught them, both of them said that they were Salman’s fans. Fake Aadhar cards were recovered from them. Due to this, an FIR has also been registered against both of them. Salman Khan is on the target of Lawrence gang.

Anmol Bishnoi is operating the gang from America. In May 2023, it was revealed in the NIA chargesheet that every decision of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar in the gang is like an order. Lawrence’s cousin Sachin Thapan looks after the recruitment and planning of new criminals.

At the same time, his brother Anmol Bishnoi, sitting in UAE, looks after the finances and logistical support for the gang along with Vikram Brar and Darman Singh sitting in America. Lawrence and Goldie tell the target. Sachin Thapan, Anmol Bishnoi, Goldie, Vikram Brar call the target and threaten them.

Lawrence never talks directly to any shooter. He only talks to Goldie, Sachin, Anmol. A criminal involved in this gang is in contact only with the criminal above him. Work is done through the chain system only. All the members of the gang involved in the crime do not have much information about each other.

This is the reason that when one of them gets arrested, he is not able to give much information to the police about the other accomplices. Currently, Sachin Thapan and Vikram Barad have been arrested by the police and are lodged in jail.
