Uttarakhand: Congress formed election management committees for Kedarnath by-election, responsibility given to senior leaders
For the Kedarnath by-election, Congress has formed Assembly, Block and Sector wise Election Management Committees. Senior party leaders have been given responsibility in these committees. State Congress President Karan Mahara formed the Election Management Committees on the request of Assembly in-charge and MLA Vikram Singh Negi.
State spokesperson Sheeshpal Singh Bisht said that MLA Lakhpat Singh Butola has been given the responsibility of Chopta block, former MLA Om Gopal Rawat has been given the responsibility of Agastyamuni and former MLA Lalit Farswan has been given the responsibility of Ukhimath block. District President Kunwar Sajwan, MLA candidate Pradeep Thaliyal, District President Chamoli Mukesh Negi, PCC member Kuldeep Kandhari, former District President Ishwar Singh Bisht, former chief Vinod Chand, PCC member Deepa Arya have been made members in the committee formed at the assembly level.

In the committee formed at the block level, Govind Sajwan has been made the sector in-charge in sector Malkoti Satera Khal of Chopta block, Block President Gairsain Harendra Singh Kandhari in Bawai Chopta, City President Gauchar Sunil Panwar in Dasjula. Arjun Gaharwar, Shiv Singh Rawat and Deepak Bhandari in Agastyamuni Nagar and Silla Bamangaon sector in Agastyamuni block, Virendra Singh Rawat in Jagoth Kamsal and Maniguha, District President Pauri Vinod Negi in Chandrapuri Kandara, Block President Pokhari Ravindra Negi in Chandranagar Kyonja, Pratap Singh Bhandari and Rakesh Bisht in Bhiri Nagjagai, Zilla Panchayat member Amendra Bisht in Basukedaar sector have been made sector in-charge.
Bhaskar Gairola in Triyuginarayan Phata Sector in Ukhimath Block, District President Devprayag Uttam Aswal in Guptkashi Nagar, Zila Panchayat Member Tehri Laxman Singh Bisht in Lwara Lamgoundi, Former Zila Panchayat Member Laxman Singh Bisht in Kalimath Kotma, State Spokesperson Kamal Raturi in Ukhimath Nagar Sari have been given the responsibility of Sector In-charge.
The Congress President told the Vidhan Sabha, Block Steering Committee and Sector In-charges to reach Kedarnath Vidhan Sabha soon and work for the victory of the party candidate by establishing coordination with the party leaders and workers.
