Uttarakhand: A notorious Haryana smuggler arrested with 11 kg of hashish, three accused absconding
In Champawat, police have arrested a notorious smuggler from Haryana with 11 kg of hashish. While three accused fled from the spot. Police caught the accused during a checking campaign in the remote Budham area of Reeth Sahib.

Champawat police succeeded in catching a big hashish smuggler. SP Champawat Ajay Ganpati said that on November 13, a police team led by SO Kamlesh Bhatt in Reeth Sahib area of Champawat district had launched a checking campaign in the remote Budham area of Reeth Sahib.
During this time, police stopped an Apache motorcycle and on searching the motorcycle riders, police recovered a huge quantity of 11 kg 200 grams of hashish. Police has arrested accused Sahil Nehra son of Shamsher Nehra resident of Rohtak Haryana.
One accused arrested and three absconding
SP Ajay said that during this time one accused managed to escape and is being searched. SP said that two people involved in the incident who had come with the accused and were doing recce ahead in the car also managed to escape. Efforts are being made to arrest them. Giving information, SP said that during interrogation, the accused told that the three people were buying this charas from a youth resident of Devidhura.
He told that this youth buys charas from local people at low prices and sells it at high prices. He had also bought charas from this person in the past. Which they used to take to Haryana and sell at high prices. He told that while carrying this charas, they had chosen this route to avoid the police.
The price of charas is said to be 11 lakhs
The police is searching for the youth of Devidhura. SP Champawat told that the price of the recovered charas is about 11 lakh rupees in the international market. The accused told that this year the police has recovered about 60 kg of charas and sent the accused to jail.
