इसरो और ऑस्ट्रेलियाई अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी ने मानव अंतरिक्ष उड़ान में सहयोग के लिए हस्ताक्षर किए

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Thursday said it has signed an implementation agreement (IA) with the Australian Space Agency (ASA) to further strengthen cooperation in the two space activities. The agreement will enable cooperation between the two space agencies related to crew and crew module for the country’s first manned space flight programme, Gaganyaan mission.

The MoU was signed on November 20 by DK Singh, Director, Human Space Flight Centre (HSFC) on behalf of ISRO in Bengaluru and Jarrod Powell, General Manager, Space Capability Branch on behalf of ASA in Canberra, the Indian space agency said in a statement.

ISRO has launched the Human Space Flight (“Gaganyaan”) programme, which aims to fly a three-day long low earth orbit with three crew members and return the module safely. ISRO said that under this agreement, Australian officials will work closely with Indian officials. This agreement will ensure assistance in landing the crew module back on Earth.

ISRO has said that India and Australia are permanent strategic partners and both space agencies are working together. Both agencies are committed to explore current and future cooperation activities.
