It was my big car, I was scared thinking that I will be the one to get caught, sir… and I ran away from there after uprooting the number plate. The driver told this incident after the accident to the police. At present, the police is questioning him further. Actually, some mysteries of the container were unsolved since the accident. The police found out the next day who was the owner of the container.
It was also confirmed by going to Gurugram to whom it was sold. But, the driver gave information about where it actually used to run from and to only after being caught. That night, some eyewitnesses present at the spot had also seen the driver running towards FRI. In such a situation, the police were searching for him manually. After getting the name and address of the driver, his house was raided but he was nowhere to be found. The number was switched off so the location could not be found.
In such a situation, the police finally arrested the driver Ramkumar from Saharanpur. After being caught, the driver told the whole story to the police.
The driver was very nervous thinking about the way action is usually taken in accidents. The scene behind the container was disturbing for everyone. In such a situation, his nervousness is also justified. He did not inform the police and ran away with the number plate, that is, hiding the evidence, these are the two mistakes of his at the moment. The police is investigating these.
The condition of this container is very bad. The front glasses are broken. There is neither indicator nor reflector. It is clear from this that it is not fit at all. In such a condition, a fitness certificate cannot even be made. In such a situation, the question still remains that how was this container running on the city roads in this condition. Whereas, the responsible transport department also claims to check commercial vehicles at many checkpoints.
It has been found out that this container came to Transport Nagar from Saharanpur in the month of October itself. Hence, it was not stopped at the border even at the RTO checkpost. Apart from this, it used to roam around the city occasionally to deliver the right machine. Despite this, it was not stopped anywhere and questioned.
