Congress has faced defeat in the Kedarnath assembly by-election. After which Congress has respected the mandate received in the assembly by-election. Along with this, while congratulating the winning candidate, serious allegations have also been made against BJP. Congress state president Karan Mahara has issued a statement alleging that BJP has misused the system from the day of nomination. He says that Congress kept complaining to the Election Commissioner about violation of the code of conduct, but no action was seen against BJP.

Congress state president Karan Mahara said that the results were not as per our efforts. Due to the triangular contest in Kedarnath assembly, the figures did not come in our favor. Apart from this, he alleged that in the last two days of Kedarnath by-election, BJP used money power heavily. Liquor boxes were openly caught in the vehicle of BJP’s state executive member, despite that no action was taken.

Karan Mahara alleged that the Kedarnath assembly by-election was an election related to the prestige of the Chief Minister and BJP, so BJP misused the system and money completely. On the other hand, BJP was successful in dividing the anti-incumbency votes, but the Congress party fought the election unitedly with full force even without resources.

Reasons for defeat will be found out by reviewing

Congress state president Karan Mahara said that the Congress party is fully prepared for the upcoming 2027 assembly elections and whatever shortcomings there may have been in this assembly by-election, the reasons for the defeat will be found out soon by reviewing it and efforts will be made to remove it.

BJP’s victory, public’s defeat

Meanwhile, State President of Mahila Congress Jyoti Rautela, while giving her reaction on the defeat of Congress in the Kedarnath assembly by-election, said that she believes that this defeat is not only of Congress, but of the people of Kedarnath and the entire state. She alleged that corruption is being carried out in the state.

Apart from this, she said that the youth of the state are wandering from door to door in search of employment, but they are not able to get this employment. Today women are feeling insecure. Despite all this, if BJP has won the Kedarnath by-election, then this is not the victory of BJP but the defeat of the people of Uttarakhand.
