Uttarakhand: Police caught drug smuggler from UP, smack worth Rs. 4.5 lakh recovered
Dehradun Police is running a campaign against drug smugglers. Police has arrested a cunning smuggler from Uttar Pradesh with 15.68 grams of illegal smack. The accused was planning to buy smack from Uttar Pradesh at cheap rates and sell it at high prices to drug addicted youth in the district.
Police arrested drug smuggler from UP
Dehradun Police is running a campaign against drug smugglers. SSP Dehradun has instructed all subordinates to identify the accused involved in illegal drug smuggling and drug business in their respective areas and take action. In this sequence, the police arrested an accused from Sahaspur under Shankarpur Hukumatpur Peeth Bazaar bridge during patrolling on last Saturday.
Smack worth 4.5 lakhs recovered
The accused has been identified as Mohsin son of Qayyum Khan, resident of Pilibhit UP. Police has recovered 15.68 grams of illegal smack from the accused. Its estimated price is said to be around 4 lakh 50 thousand rupees. During interrogation, the accused told that he was buying smoke from Bareilly and Mirzapur at cheap rates and was going to sell it at high prices to drug addicts in Sahaspur and Selaqui area. Police have registered a case against the accused under NDPS Act.
