Uttarakhand: BJP MLA Dilip Rawat demanded amendment in the Forest Act, said the government should call a one-day special session or else I will not even participate in the assembly session
Regarding the amendment in the Forest Act, BJP MLA from Lansdowne Dilip Rawat has demanded a one-day special session in the assembly regarding human-wildlife conflict and amendment in the Forest Act. Along with this, BJP MLA Dilip Rawat has warned that if this does not happen then he will not participate in any session in future.
BJP MLA Dilip Rawat has been demanding amendment in the Forest Act for a long time. Recently in the assembly session held in Gairsain, Dilip Rawat raised the issue of Forest Act and the damage caused by human-wildlife conflict both inside and outside the House. However, then he also got an assurance from the government to consider the matter.
Now in the sequence of the same assurance, BJP MLA Dilip Rawat has demanded the government to call a one-day session of the assembly regarding his demand. MLA Dilip Rawat says that the impracticality in the Forest Act, the problems being faced by the common people due to it, should be resolved. At the same time, the Forest Act should be amended as per the needs of the villagers.
BJP MLA Dilip Rawat says that the Forest Act which should have been a gift for the people of Uttarakhand, but the same rules and regulations are the biggest obstacle in their development today. That is why he has demanded that Uttarakhand hold a one-day special session, so that all the problems can be reviewed in that session. Our needs should be made known to the state as well as the central government.
The BJP MLA said that the special session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly should send a big message to all the institutions that what kind of problems the people of the state are facing with this Forest Act. The cases of human-wildlife conflict in Uttarakhand are not hidden from anyone. The general public is falling prey to wildlife. Due to which many people have died. While hundreds of people have been injured. That is why BJP MLA Dilip Rawat has demanded relief to the people by amending the Forest Act.
Rawat said that he has full faith in CM Pushkar Singh Dhami that he will hold a one-day special session. He has also appealed to the media to definitely raise this issue, because the Forest Act has become the biggest obstacle in development in the state. He has also said that if the government does not call a one-day special session as per his demand, then he will not participate in any upcoming assembly session.
