Uttarakhand: On Voter’s Day, secretariat officers and employees completed a 26-km race with the national flag
Under the aegis of Secretariat Athletics and Fitness Club and Election Commission of India, the officers and employees of the Secretariat family, carrying the national flag, started a 26 km race at 5:30 pm from Secretariat Gate No. 1 on the eve of Republic Day and ended at the Secretariat by going up to Malsi Chowk Balawala.
The race was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Election Officer Mastudas by showing the green flag. The main objective of the race was to make voters aware on Voter Awareness Day and to strengthen the patriotism and national sentiment in the early hours of the auspicious occasion of Republic Day.
On this occasion, many members including club president Lalit Chandra Joshi, general secretary Rajendra Prasad Joshi, advisor Jeevan Singh Bisht, treasurer Dinesh Singh Ghinga, Dr. Ravindra Singh Rana, Reena Shahi, Godavari Rawat, runners above 70 years of age, including Roopchand Gupta Harshman Bhatt, were present.
