Uttarakhand: The result of the civic body elections has strengthened Dhami, the performance of ministers and MLAs will be assessed, know the details here

The civic elections in Uttarakhand have brought good signs for the Dhami government. Although the Bharatiya Janata Party was expecting more than this, but by becoming the largest party in the civic elections, the BJP has definitely breathed a sigh of relief. In the elections held for 100 bodies in Uttarakhand, there has been a tough fight in 11 municipal corporations, 43 municipalities and 46 nagar panchayats, in which the BJP has performed satisfactorily overall. However, the Congress has appeared in a worrying situation in this matter. At the same time, independent candidates had a great time on many seats.

Modi magic was also seen in small government: Modi magic was also seen during the elections for the small government in Uttarakhand. These election results of the small government are a big relief for the Dhami government. This is because, there are assembly elections in Uttarakhand in the year 2027 and with Modi magic running, it is certain to get benefits in the upcoming elections as well.

Congress could not even open an account in the municipal corporation: There are a total of 11 municipal corporations in Uttarakhand, out of which the Bharatiya Janata Party has managed to win 10 municipal corporations. The big thing is that the Srinagar Nagar Nigam which BJP has lost, has been won by independent candidate Aarti Bhandari, who was seeking a ticket from BJP and when she did not get the ticket, she rebelled and contested the election. In this way, Congress could not win even one seat out of 11 seats in entire Uttarakhand.

Contest between BJP, Independents and Congress in Municipalities: There are a total of 43 municipalities in Uttarakhand, out of which Bharatiya Janata Party candidates have won 17 municipalities, while Congress has won 12 municipalities and independents have won 14 municipalities. One Bahujan Samajwadi Party seat is also included in the independent seats. Congress managed to win Vikas Nagar seat in Dehradun district, while all the other seats were won by BJP candidates.

There was a lot of tussle for the seats of Nagar Panchayat: Out of the total 46 Nagar Panchayat seats in Uttarakhand, 16 seats were won by independent candidates, while BJP won 15 seats and Congress won 15 seats. Overall, a direct and tough fight of independent candidates with BJP and Congress candidates was seen on Nagar Panchayat seats.

Rebels showed their attitude on many seats and also achieved victory: Talking about the Municipal Corporation in the state, Aarti Bhandari, who won the election for the post of Mayor in Srinagar, was seeking a ticket from the Bharatiya Janata Party, but the party did not give her a ticket, after which she showed her strength by contesting as an independent.. Similarly, a large number of rebels of BJP and Congress entered the election fray in the municipalities, some of these rebels also won, but most of the rebels, after rebelling, played a big role in defeating the candidate of the respective party.

Independent candidates also dominate in councillor and member elections: A total of 1282 councillor/member elections were held in Uttarakhand, in which independent candidates won the most seats. Independents have managed to win 633 seats. Similarly, Bharatiya Janata Party candidates have won 435 seats, while Congress has won 164 seats, Bahujan Samajwadi Party has won two seats and Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has won one seat.

Disorganization prevailed during the election process: A large number of people’s names were missing from the voter list in the state. At the same time, many people did not find their names in the voter list till the last moment. These complaints kept coming from the employees of the Election Commission office to the government officials. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat also found his name in the voter list when the voting process was over. During the counting of votes, the counting of votes was seen at a very slow pace. In Dehradun, the election result was declared 27 hours after the counting of votes started.

Many BJP leaders performed poorly: Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt could not perform well even in his home district. Out of 10 bodies in Chamoli, BJP was able to win only two seats, while BJP had to face defeat in eight bodies. This performance of BJP is also being linked to Mahendra Bhatt. Similarly, minister in the government Dhan Singh Rawat could not save Srinagar Municipal Corporation in his assembly. This is the only municipal corporation where BJP had to face defeat.

Congress dominates Bishan Singh Chuphal’s area: Similarly, BJP had to face defeat in the area of Bishan Singh Chuphal, who has been a BJP MLA for the last eight times and a minister many times, this was the first time here when Congress defeated BJP and won. BJP’s defeat on all these seats has been linked to internal conflict.
