Land registration will be paperless in Uttarakhand, waiting for cabinet approval

The registry of land purchase and sale in Uttarakhand is going to be completely paperless. All preparations have been completed by the government in this regard. In such a situation, this facility will start being available after getting final approval from the cabinet.
Giving more information, Uttarakhand Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that after the registration of documents under the Stamp and Registration Department in the state, there was a system of maintaining the scanned copy in the office. The government has decided to technically improve the system of returning the original documents to the parties.
Also said that for improving it in a phased manner, it is being considered to make the entire system paperless, in which the process of paperless registration, Aadhaar authentication and virtual registration will be implemented. For this, the government is deciding to make a proposal for Uttarakhand Online Document Registration Rules-2025.
He said that even after the implementation of this system, for registration of deeds, the party will be able to prepare the documents from his own place and submit them through online link. Stamp duty and registration fees can also be paid online. The parties will also have the facility that the sub-registrar will be able to verify the documents by personally appearing in the offices or through video KYC.
The Finance Minister said that after this, the concerned sub-registrar will also complete the process through digital signature after examining the facts given in the deeds and will send it to the party immediately through WhatsApp or email. This process will also be interlinked with Aadhaar authentication. So that transparency is promoted along with public convenience. Also, corruption can be curbed. With the implementation of this system, fraud in the registry process can also be stopped.
