NABARD’s ‘box’ will open for Uttarakhand’s schemes, aid will increase by 36%

State Credit Seminar was organized by NABARD. In which all the top officials including Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi were present. In this episode, NABARD can give a huge amount to Uttarakhand for the schemes in the current financial year. According to the assessment, the state can get about 36% more money from NABARD in the current financial year. Actually, last year Uttarakhand got about Rs 40158 crore under the annual loan scheme, while for the current financial year 2025-26, the state is expected to get Rs 54698 crore in the annual loan scheme.
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development gives priority to rural development schemes apart from the agricultural sector. Not only this, apart from small industries and financial literacy, making small loans accessible to farmers and common people has also been a priority of NABARD. In this way, NABARD tries to connect the weaker sections with the schemes through loans and empower them. It is expected that in the current financial year, the possible loan from NABARD can be Rs 19306.96 crore for agriculture sector, Rs 30477.92 crore for small scale industries and Rs 4913.53 crore for various other sectors.
State Focus Paper was also released during the State Credit Seminar of NABARD. In which the focus was on how much loan is required for which sector for the state. Along with this, there was also a discussion about schemes based on various problems in Uttarakhand, so that through this these problems can be solved. Through the State Focus Paper, the state government will be able to determine the priority of the budget for policy initiatives and will also get help in finalizing the run programs.
