Uttarakhand: 11 policemen transferred from Dehradun ISBT post, Sub Inspector Harsh Arora made in-charge

After the ISBT Chowki in-charge was caught taking bribe, Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh has transferred 11 policemen of ISBT Chowki to other places. Earlier, the SSP reached Patel Nagar police station and briefed the officers and employees and instructed them to bring transparency in the working of the police and discharge their duties with full dedication. Dehradun SSP has given the responsibility of ICBT Chowki in-charge to Sub-Inspector Harsh Arora.

It is worth noting that on Wednesday evening, the Dehradun Vigilance team arrested ISBT Chowki in-charge Sub-Inspector Devendra Khugshaal red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh under Patel Nagar Kotwali. In this case, the SSP has taken further action at his level and has also suspended Devendra Khugshaal.

On Thursday, SSP Ajay Singh reached Patel Nagar police station and reviewed the work of the officers and employees posted in the police station. Also, he took information from the Inspector in-charge Patel Nagar regarding the cases under investigation and pending applications. The SSP transferred two sub-inspectors. In which Sub Inspector Harsh Arora has been made Outpost Incharge ISBT, Kotwali Patel Nagar from Outpost Incharge Jhajra, Police Station Premnagar. Also, Sub Inspector Amit Kumar Sharma has been sent as Outpost Incharge Jhajra, Police Station Premnagar.

SSP Ajay Singh has said that all officers and policemen have been warned of strict action if they show laxity and negligence towards their duties. Also, to bring transparency in the functioning of the police, 11 policemen posted at Outpost ISBT have been transferred to other police stations of the district.
