Uttarakhand: Government medical colleges will soon get 1314 nursing officers, process is expedited

Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the officials to appoint nursing officers within two weeks. This deployment will be in relation to the vacant posts in five medical colleges and cancer institute. The Health Minister has directed the departmental officials for this.

1314 nursing officers selected from Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board will be appointed within two weeks. All these nursing officers will be deployed in relation to the vacant posts in five government medical colleges of the state and Government Cancer Institute Haldwani. For this, departmental officials have been instructed to complete all the formalities.

Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that five government medical colleges of the state will get nursing officers within two weeks. He said that the approved posts of nursing officers in government medical colleges have been lying vacant for a long time.

These include 323 posts in Government Medical College Dehradun, 320 in Haldwani, 310 in Rudrapur, 207 in Almora and 300 in Srinagar. Thus, 64 posts are sanctioned in the Government Cancer Institute, Haldwani. Nursing officers selected by the Service Selection Board will be posted against all these sanctioned posts.

The departmental minister said that in view of the improvement of patient care and health facilities in the hospitals affiliated to medical colleges, the Medical Education Department had sent a requisition for the recruitment of nursing officers to the State Medical Service Selection Board. In this sequence, the Service Selection Board has completed the recruitment process and handed over the final selection result of 1314 nursing officers to the department. The verification of these selected nursing officers is currently going on at two levels.

Due to the time taken, it has been decided to give early deployment to the selected candidates. He said that the verification process will continue separately, if any irregularity is found in the verification of any candidate after getting the job, strict action will be taken against him. Dr. Rawat said that the priority of the government is to appoint nursing officers in medical colleges as soon as possible, so that further improvement in patient care and health facilities in medical colleges can be ensured.
