Bihar’s budget was presented in the assembly. The size of the budget in 2025-26 is Rs 3 lakh 16 thousand 895.02 crores. It is Rs 38,169 crore more than the budget size of the last financial year. In the budget speech, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Samrat Choudhary said that the target is to get revenue of Rs 2 lakh 60 thousand in the next financial year. This is Rs 34 thousand 33 crores more than last year.

Education department got the highest budget

The highest budget of 60964 crores was allotted to the education department. 20335 crores will be spent on health department, 17908 crores on urban and rural roads, 17831 crores on home department, 16093 crores on rural development, 13484 crores on energy department, 13368 crores on social welfare department and other departments.

In the budget, Rs 60,964 crore will be spent on education

Government will open special gyms for women

The finance minister also made a very important announcement for farmers and women. He announced that special gyms will be opened for women in the cities of the state. Apart from this, special and special toilets were also announced. At the same time, for the farmers, Samrat Chaudhary said that the market committee will be developed in Bihar at a cost of 1289 crores. Moong and tur dal will be purchased at MSP. Cold storage will be built in all blocks. On the lines of Sudha Dairy, vegetable facility outlets will be opened at the block level. A cooperative committee has been formed in the block. Primary vegetable production committee will also be formed.
