PM Modi’s Mukhaba visit proposed on March 6, DM took stock of the preparations

In view of the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Harshil-Mukhba area, District Magistrate Meherban Singh Bisht has directed the concerned departments and organizations to be fully prepared by making all the arrangements related to the proposed visit. The District Magistrate asked to ensure effective arrangements for immediate restoration of road, electricity and communication services in case of disruption due to snowfall.

After the change in the previously proposed tour program due to bad weather, the tour program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Harshil-Mukhwa area has now been proposed on March 6. While preparing for the proposed visit of the Prime Minister by the District Administration, special attention is being paid to making all the arrangements in Harshil-Mukhwa area foolproof. District Magistrate Meherban Singh Bisht today held a meeting with the officials of various departments and organizations and said that all the departments should maintain better coordination regarding the proposed program of the Prime Minister and ensure all the preparations on time.

Priority attention should be given to maintaining smooth road, electricity and communication services in the border Harshil area. For this, along with deploying necessary machines and human resources at different places in advance, adequate arrangements of necessary material and equipment should be made so that in case of any emergency, the disrupted services can be restored in minimum time.

The District Magistrate said that continuous monitoring should be done at places prone to avalanches on the Gangotri National Highway. The District Magistrate said that the officers working in Harshil area will ensure the use of mobile network as well as satellite phones and wireless networks of various organizations for communication. For this, satellite phones are being provided to the officers of various departments. The District Magistrate told the officers of all departments and organizations to keep all preparations complete for the proposed visit of the Prime Minister.
