Nodal officer appointed for ‘fit and healthy’ Uttarakhand, ‘Eat Right Campus’ to be developed

The central government has started the ‘Eat Right India’ campaign. Under which, the government has started the ‘Fit Uttarakhand Abhiyan’ to make this campaign a reality in Uttarakhand as well. Under the ‘Fit and Healthy’ Uttarakhand campaign, the citizens of the state will be motivated as well as made aware to adopt a balanced diet, regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

Nodal officer deployed for ‘Fit and Healthy’ Uttarakhand campaign: Along with this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken another big step towards a healthy Uttarakhand and announced the better implementation of the ‘Eat Right India’ campaign run by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

In fact, the state government has also deployed nodal officers to implement the ‘Fit and Healthy’ Uttarakhand campaign in a better way. In which along with the public representatives, all the secretaries, district magistrates, department heads and other concerned officers will work in coordination for this.

Appeal to reduce oil, sugar and salt

Not only this, in view of the changing lifestyle, the general public is also being encouraged to consume less oil, less sugar and less salt. So far, Uttarakhand Secretariat Complex, Sudhowala Jail, Petroleum University have been certified under the Eat Right Campaign.

‘Eat Right Campus’ will be developed

Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that the most important ‘Eat Right Movement Campaign’ will be run in the ‘Fit and Healthy’ Uttarakhand campaign. ‘Eat Right Campus’ will be developed under the Eat Right Campaign, under which the process of certification is going on.

‘Eat Right Food Hub’ and ‘Eat Right School’ will also be developed

Therefore, in the coming time, universities, colleges, hospitals, medical colleges and jail campuses will be developed as Eat Right Campus. It was also told that ‘Eat Right Food Hub’ and ‘Eat Right School’ will also be developed.

Food chart sent to schools

The Health Secretary said that the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has prepared a food chart according to age. This food chart has been sent to the officials of the Education Department. Also, they have been requested to widely publicize it in all government and private schools.

Reduce the amount of oil in food

Apart from this, reduce the amount of oil people use while cooking by 10 percent. The Information Department has been given the responsibility to promote it. Also told that to make this campaign successful, a campaign will be run at the district level involving all public representatives, officials.

At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami says that the state government has resolved to realize the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under the Eat Right India campaign, awareness is to be created for the prevention of diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other non-communicable diseases. So that people are motivated to adopt a healthy, safe and balanced diet.

Apart from this, the youth, teachers, parents and the general public have to be informed about the importance of balanced and nutritious food. He also said that this message will also be displayed in the restaurants, eateries and messes of the state. So that people can become aware of proper nutrition.
