Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Holi Milan function organised by Almora-Pithoragarh MP Ajay Tamta in New Delhi. Dhami participated in cultural programmes and celebrated Holi with fellow BJP leaders, thoroughly enjoying the wonderful occasion. Dhami was accompanied by BJP national secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam. He said Holi celebrations are being held with great enthusiasm. Gautam said Holi is being celebrated not only in Uttarakhand but everywhere.
“The enthusiasm with which Holi is being celebrated – not only Uttarakhand but everyone is celebrating Holi. There is also the joy of winning Delhi. Delhi is full of new colours…”, Dushyant Kumar Gautam told ANI on Wednesday.
Earlier, Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Holi Milan programme organised by the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun on Wednesday. According to an official release, on the occasion, the chief minister also inaugurated the e-Kosh website created to maintain transparency in financial operations in the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun. CM Dhami, while wishing all the people of the state a festival of Holi filled with joy, gaiety, enthusiasm and colors, said that this festival also strengthens the feeling of harmony by strengthening cultural unity in the society. He said that everyone will have to make continuous efforts to pass on this cultural heritage to the next generation. A yoga park is being built on 3.5 hectares of land in Kedarpuram at a cost of Rs 5 crore and a new park is being built in Yamuna Colony at a cost of Rs 1.3 crore.

CM Dhami on Wednesday attended the traditional Holi Milan ceremony organized at the official residence of Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta in New Delhi.
On this occasion, while wishing everyone a Happy Holi, he said that the festival of Holi is a symbol of love, harmony and mutual unity. The festival of Holi also strengthens cultural unity and harmony in our society.
The Chief Minister said that Holi is not only a festival of colors, but it also intensifies social interaction and transmits positive energy. This festival inspires us to forget mutual discrimination and bind ourselves in the thread of unity. The traditional baithi and khadi Holi of Uttarakhand are symbols of our rich cultural heritage, which gives the message of love and harmony in the society.
Uttarakhand is setting new dimensions of progress
Referring to the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand. The state government is moving ahead on the path of development with this resolve. He said that the achievement of Uttarakhand getting the highest ranking in the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Report 2023-24 of NITI Aayog is the result of the dedicated efforts of the state government, which shows that Uttarakhand is touching new heights of development.
Uttarakhand becomes the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code. Describing it as a major reform towards equality and justice in the society, he said that it is in line with the expectations of the public. There was a discussion on this for a long time, and now Uttarakhand has set an example for other states of the country by implementing it.
He said that this occasion is historic not only for Uttarakhand but also for the whole of India. To establish equality in the society in Uttarakhand, the Uniform Civil Code has come into force. He said that by implementing the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand, the State Government is following the example of the Constitution maker Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. A true tribute has been paid to all the members of the Constituent Assembly including Ambedkar.
The Chief Minister said that with the UCC, the constitutional and civil rights of every citizen in the state have become equal. Along with this, women of all religions have also got equal rights. For this, he also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister on behalf of the entire people of Uttarakhand.
Historic initiative to implement strong land law
Referring to the strong land law implemented in the state, the Chief Minister said that this is a big step towards fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people of Uttarakhand. He said, this law has been brought to protect the resources of the state, cultural heritage and the rights of the citizens. This will keep the land of the people of the state safe and will stop uncontrolled land purchase and sale.
Many dignitaries of the state and national level participated in the function. All the guests wished each other a Happy Holi by applying gulal and witnessed traditional music and cultural programs. Folk songs and cultural presentations made the entire atmosphere cheerful, in which the guests also participated enthusiastically.
