Standup comedian Kunal Kamra is once again embroiled in controversy. A video of him is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In which he is seen taking a dig at Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. During his show, he jokingly called Shinde a ‘traitor’. Which created a ruckus (Kunal Kamra Controversy).

In this video, Kunal Kamra was seen making sarcastic comments on the political turmoil in Maharashtra. He said, “First Shiv Sena came out of BJP, then Shiv Sena came out of Shiv Sena, NCP came out of NCP… now the public has been given nine buttons in a single election. The poor voters got confused.”
After this, Kunal took a dig at Shinde by singing a parody on the tune of the song ‘Bholi Si Surat’ from the film ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’. He said—
“Rickshaw from Thane, beard on the face, glasses in the eyes…
He shows me a glimpse, sometimes he hides in Guwahati…
If you look through my eyes, he looks like a traitor…”
Shiv Sena workers create ruckus and vandalism
Shiv Sena workers got angry with Kunal Kamra’s statement. They vandalized Hotel Unicontinental located in Khar area of Mumbai. Where Kamra had given this performance. After this incident, the police have registered a case against about 40 people including Shiv Sena leader Rahul Kanal.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also reacted to this matter. He said, “The Constitution has given all of us the right to speak, but we should not forget our dignity. There may be ideological differences. But we should not say anything that may lead to a breakdown of law and order.” Kunal Kamra has been known for his bold and controversial comments in the past as well.
