President Murmu, who reached Uttarakhand for the first time, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of schemes worth 2001 crores

President Draupadi Murmu, who visited Uttarakhand for the first time, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of nine development schemes worth Rs 2001.94 crore in the civic reception program at the Chief Minister’s residence. This includes inauguration of three schemes worth Rs 528.35 crore and foundation stone laying of six schemes worth Rs 1473.59 crore. The President has constructed a 132 KV modern technology power house at a cost of Rs 84 crore at Pratara in Haridwar district on behalf of the Soban Singh Jeena Government Medical College, Almora, Pitkul, constructed at a cost of Rs 330.64 crore, construction of a line related to it, in district Rudraprayag. Inaugurated the 4.5 MW Kaliganga-II Small Hydro Electric Project built at a cost of Rs 113.71 crore.

Apart from this, renovation work of Chilla Power House 144 MW scheme at a cost of Rs 306 crore, construction of Integrated Office Complex Green Building at a cost of Rs 204.46 crore under Dehradun Smart City Project, 220 KV in Mangalore, Haridwar at a cost of Rs 131 crore. Sub station, undergrounding of overhead HT and LT power lines of main roads of Dehradun at a cost of Rs 750 crore, construction work of second phase at Government Polytechnic Narendra Nagar at a cost of Rs 32.93 crore and Tanakpur of Champawat at a cost of Rs 49.20 crore. Laid the foundation stone of the modern interstate bus terminal at a cost of Rs. At the same time, President Draupadi Murmu was overwhelmed to see the Tharo, Raso and Harul folk dances of cultural parties from the tribal areas of Uttarakhand at the civic reception. Mesmerized by the mesmerizing performances of cultural troupes, the President strongly advocated their promotion.

He said that our culture bearers are like flowers of the forest, they beautify the people, but unknowingly they fall from the trees. It is our duty to protect, develop and empower them. Because the culture of these people is not artificial. During cultural presentations, Governor Lt. General Gurmeet Singh (Senior) also looked mesmerised. He was enjoying each and every performance with full interest. The dignitaries present applauded a lot on the folk dances.

President Draupadi Murmu performed Rudrabhishek at Raj Pragyeshwar Mahadev Temple, inaugurated Nakshatra Vatika

President Draupadi Murmu Uttarakhand Tour is on a two-day tour of Uttarakhand. Today, President Draupadi Murmu performed ‘Rudrabhishek’ at Raj Pragyeshwar Mahadev Temple (Dehradun Raj pragyeshwar Mahadev Temple) at Raj Bhavan. President Draupadi Murmu also inaugurated Nakshatra Vatika at Raj Bhavan in the presence of Governor (Uttarakhand Governor) Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Retd) along with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

It may be noted that President Draupadi Murmu reached Dehradun on a two-day tour last day and was received at the airport by Governor Lt Gen (R) Gurmeet Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. After this, President Draupadi Murmu was given a guard of honor at the airport. After this, President Draupadi Murmu attended the civic reception organized by the Government of Uttarakhand in Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented a shawl made of Kandali fibers to the President.

On the first day, President Murmu inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 9 projects worth Rs 2001.94 crore giving the gift of development to Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand. During this, the President said that Uttarakhand has had a rich culture. They should be developed. They should be encouraged and brought forward. This is our duty. During this, President Murmu said that I consider it my good fortune to come to Devbhoomi, Tapobhoomi and Veerabhoomi in Uttarakhand. The great poet Kalidas has called the Himalayas as ‘the soul’. In the Himalayan courtyard, Uttarakhand, as the President, I consider myself grateful for receiving the gift of hospitality from all of you.

Expressing happiness over the foundation stone laying and inauguration of various development projects, the President said that these projects will increase public facilities for the people. He appreciated the central government and the state government for these projects. He said that Uttarakhand is marching ahead on the path of overall development under the systematic guidance of Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh and energetic leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The hardworking and talented residents of Uttarakhand have a significant contribution in this journey of development of the state.
