Work will be done in Uttarakhand Secretariat on Saturdays and Sundays as well, know why this decision was taken

Uttarakhand Secretariat will also remain open on Saturdays and Sundays. During this time, the secretariat personnel will be seen dealing with departmental work. An order has been issued in this regard and the reason behind this order is to dispose of all the budget related works during the end of the financial year in March.
Uttarakhand Secretariat will also be opened on Saturdays and Sundays. Although Uttarakhand Secretariat works only for 5 days during the week and there is a holiday of 2 days in a week, but this month the secretariat will remain open all seven days i.e. on the upcoming Saturday and Sunday also the secretariat personnel will be seen working in the secretariat.
The Secretariat Administration Department has issued an order in this regard. According to the order, the financial year 2024-25 is going to end, it is obvious that there is a lot of pressure of budget related work during the end of the financial year and various works are also to be disposed of at the end of the financial year. In view of all these situations, after consideration, instructions have been issued to open the secretariat on Saturdays and Sundays as well.
Deputy Secretary Hanuman Prasad Tiwari in Secretariat Administration has issued an order in this regard. This time, due to three consecutive days of holiday, work is going to be disrupted on the last day of March. At the end of the financial year, there will be a holiday on Saturday, March 29, Sunday, and Eid on March 30. That is, there will be a holiday on the last three days of the financial year.
Due to this situation, the work related to the budget is expected to be affected at the end of the financial year and in view of this, after considering at the government level, it has been decided to open the secretariat on the last two days i.e. March 29 and 30.
However, the last days of the financial year are very important. In the end, very important decisions are taken regarding the assessment and expenditure of the budget. In such a situation, if the secretariat remains closed, then decisions will not be taken on them, due to which many works can also be hindered. All these aspects were considered and finally it was decided that the employees in the secretariat will come on Saturday and Sunday and do the work related to the budget and the rest of the necessary work will also be disposed of before the March final.
