Yashpal Arya, Leader of Opposition said that with the beginning of the new academic session, the responsibility of buying books, copies and dresses for their children falls on the parents. In the new academic session, everything from fees, school dress to copy-books has become expensive. This is directly affecting the pockets of the parents. The all-round blow of inflation has made the life of the common man very difficult.

Arya said that the commission game going on in books is making the education department fail in the name of action. As soon as the school opens, the education mafia has started robbing the pockets of the parents of the children. Private schools have been pressurizing the parents to buy copy books of their desired publishers. The school changes the book and its publishers every two-three years so that you are not able to use the books of your elder brothers and sisters. You have to buy new ones. For whose benefit is this done?

Arya said that why is the government silent on the school mafia earning commission by selling books, copies and dresses at arbitrary prices. There should be an investigation as to at what price private schools are providing books to children and at what rate the same books are available in government schools.

The Leader of Opposition said that there are no teachers in government schools, so the poor are compelled to go to private schools. Education has become so expensive that the poor have to take loans to educate their children. Children are asked to buy expensive copies, books, uniforms etc. from the school itself. Unnecessary amounts of money are collected in the name of Development Fees/Activity Fees. Children have been made ATM machines! He said that the government is silent on this loot, so education has completely become a business. Commercialization of education and loot in the name of education should stop. There should be only studies in schools, not business.

The Leader of Opposition said that the government should ensure that the basic objective of the education system should be to provide affordable, accessible and quality education to children, and not to put financial pressure on their parents! It is important that transparency and justice be ensured in the book market.
