Two-day Chintan Shivir organized in Dehradun
Chief Minister Dhami said that it is a matter of pride for the state that a national level Chintan Shivir is being organized here on an important topic like social justice. This Chintan Shivir is also a means of taking forward the thinking of great thinkers like Baba Saheb Ambedkar and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The dialogue to be organized in the camp will prepare a roadmap for the policies of social empowerment to be adopted in the future.
The CM said that under the visionary leadership of the PM, work is being done in the country today with the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”. Earlier, for several decades, the social welfare department in the country was considered limited to only a few selected works. But after PM Modi became the Prime Servant, due to the policies and schemes adopted, about 30 crore people of the country have been successful in coming out of the poverty line in the last decade.
Efforts are being made to improve the lives of the elderly, widows and disabled
The CM said that today in the country, on the one hand, the Central Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is improving the standard of living of the elderly, widows and disabled by giving them special pension, while on the other hand, students are also being given an opportunity to make their future bright by giving them scholarships. Similarly, through various schemes and policies, efforts are being made to bring the most backward class into the mainstream by encouraging self-employment and entrepreneurship.
