Uttarakhand: ITBP’s passing out parade in Mussoorie, 36 young soldiers and medical officers joined the mainstream

Passing out parade was organized at Indo-Tibetan Border Police Academy Mussoorie. In which 27 Assistant Commander/GD, 1 Deputy Commander/Senior Medical Officer, 4 Assistant Commander/Medical Officer passed out. Apart from this, 4 female medical officers are also included, who joined the mainstream of ITBP after rigorous training. These young officers took oath of loyalty and dedication towards the Constitution and the force in the grand convocation and oath taking ceremony.
Let us tell you that one year of rigorous training was given under Assistant Commander/GD. Whereas, Deputy Commander/Assistant Commander/Senior Medical Officers took 6 months of training. During the training, information was given about various operational and administration related subjects like combat skills, weapon handling, physical training, intelligence, field engineering, map study, law and human rights related subjects.
So many officers from these states participated
Among those who passed out, 7 are from Haryana, 6 from Uttar Pradesh, 4 from Kerala, 3 each from Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi, 2 each from Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Manipur, 1 each from Maharashtra, Bihar, Karnataka and Ladakh. Additional Director General of ITBP Western Command Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary attended the passing out parade as the chief guest and took the salute of the parade.
Additional Director General Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary said that the history of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force has been glorious. The force has a lot of expectations from the new officers. With the training received, military officers will be able to face every challenge. Young officers should carry forward the old traditions of the force as well as incorporate new ideas in the force. He awarded the trainees who performed excellently during the training with ‘Sword of Honor’ and winner trophies.
Trainees who performed well in the 29th Sahayak Senani/GD Aadhar Course-
- Sahayak Senani/GD (OT) Rahul Kumar Yadav was given the Home Minister Sword of Honour for West All Round Trainee Award.
- Sahayak Senani/GD (OT) Rahul Kumar Yadav was given the Director General Cup Best Outdoor Trainee Award.
- Sahayak Senani/GD (OT) Vikas Negi received the Director Academy Cup Best Sports Person/Trainee Award.
- Sahayak Senani GD (OT) Tarun was given the Inspector General Cup Best Indoor Trainee Award.
- Sahayak Senani/GD (OT) Ajay Singh was awarded the Inspector General Cup Best Indoor Trainee Award.
Apart from this, he also released the ‘E-Amodh’ magazine of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. On this occasion, the trainee officers of the 29th Assistant Fighter / GD Basic Course were given certificates on passing the Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Security Administration by the National Defense University, Gandhinagar (Gujarat).
Know Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, Additional Director General of ITBP Western Command
Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary is an officer of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force of the year 1987 batch. During his 37 years of service, he has been awarded many medals including the Police Medal for commendable services and the Parakram Medal for distinguished service. Apart from this, he has also been awarded the ‘United Nations Medal’ for the United Nations Peace Mission in Kosovo.
ITBP jawans are deployed in temperatures up to -45°C
Let us tell you that the forward posts of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police are located at an altitude of about 9,000 to 18,750 feet. The temperature of these places falls to -45°C (degree Celsius). The challenging geographical environment at these forward posts demands extraordinary patience, sacrifice and courage from the officers posted here. In such a situation, the role of medical officers in the force is also very important.
In such a situation, the main task of medical officers is to provide medical facilities to their colleagues as well as local citizens in border and inaccessible areas. This time also 4 female medical officers have passed out and joined the force. At the same time, the chief guest, senior officers and family members decorated the shoulders of these young officers with stars. On this occasion, the Himveers also demonstrated PT demonstration, exhibition drill and martial arts.
