Third day of Amit Shah’s J&K visit; held a meeting with top officials including CM-Lt. Governor at Raj Bhawan; 3 organizations separated from separatist Hurriyat

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Today, on Tuesday, the third and last day of the visit, Shah held a high-level meeting at the Raj Bhavan in Srinagar. In this, the officials informed him about the development work going on in the state. Along with this, law and order and security were also discussed. Many officials including CM Omar Abdullah, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha were present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, during Shah’s visit, three organizations associated with the separatist organization Hurriyat Conference of Jammu and Kashmir have separated themselves on Monday. These organizations include Jammu Kashmir Islamic Political Party, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Democratic League, and Kashmir Freedom Front.

On this, Home Minister Amit Shah said-

This is a symbol of the growing public trust in the Constitution of India in the Kashmir Valley. So far 11 organizations have broken ties with Hurriyat. Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a united and powerful India has gained more strength today.

On Monday, on the second day of the visit, Shah visited the LoC and the BSF post in Kathua. Where he took stock of the current security system and situation. Then he met the families of the martyrs at the Raj Bhavan and also distributed compassionate appointment letters.

Earlier on the first day on 6 April (Sunday), Shah held a meeting with BJP MLAs and officials. This meeting lasted for about two hours. During this, the Home Minister said – Full statehood status to Jammu and Kashmir is part of our policy and it will be restored at the appropriate time. Let us tell you that this is Amit Shah’s first visit after the formation of a new government in the state.

Shah said – In a few years, the soldiers will be equipped with technology. Amit Shah, while talking to the soldiers of the Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday, said – In a few years, the security force personnel deployed on the entire Indo-Pak and Indo-Bangladesh border will be equipped with technical assistance. Tests of more than 26 steps related to technology are still going on, which include things like anti-drone technology, tunnel identification technology and electronic surveillance.

Earlier on Sunday, on the first day of his tour, Shah held a meeting with BJP MLAs and officials. During this, he said- The central government is making a strict strategy with the security agencies regarding terrorism and infiltration. Shah said-

The concern being raised about the presence of terrorists in the upper areas of some districts, counter action is going on rapidly. Security forces are working continuously. The situation will be brought under control soon.

Shah said in Rajya Sabha- Modi laid the foundation of democracy in Kashmir. Amit Shah said in the discussion during the budget session in Rajya Sabha on March 19 that there were 7,217 terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir between 2004 and 2014, but between 2014 and 2024 it came down to 2,242. He told that in the last 10 years there has been an 81% reduction in the death of civilians, a 50% reduction in the martyrdom of security personnel and incidents of stone pelting have now completely stopped. Whereas, in 2004 there were 1,587 terrorist incidents.

Shah said- only 85 incidents happened in 2024. In 2004, 733 civilians were killed, while in 2024 this number came down to 26. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation of democracy in Kashmir and now the government gives a tough and direct answer to the terrorists.

The Home Minister further said- During the 33-year rule of the opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, cinema halls did not open there. We removed Article 370 in 2019. Diplomats from all over the world went there in the G-20 meeting. We successfully conducted elections there. Not even a single bullet was fired.

Shah said, ‘Earlier terrorists used to come to Jammu and Kashmir and there was no festival when there were no attacks. Attacks happened even after Modiji came. There was an attack in Uri and Pulwama. In 10 days, Pakistan was answered by entering the house and carrying out air strikes. The name of great India has been added to the list of Israel and America in the world which have taken such action.

A yatra was organised from Kanyakumari to Kashmir under the leadership of Murli Manohar Joshi. We were not getting permission to go to Lal Chowk. When we insisted, we had to go under the protection of the army and had to hoist the tricolour in a hurry. There was no house on the same Lal Chowk which did not have the tricolour in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.

We took many such steps due to which the number of Indian children joining terrorists has almost come down to zero. When terrorists were killed, a big procession used to be taken out. Even today terrorists are killed and they are buried at the place where they are killed.

Someone from the family used to become a terrorist and the family members used to work comfortably in government jobs. We worked to get them out. The family members of the terrorists used to sit in the Bar Council and protests used to start. Today they are in jails in Srinagar or Delhi.
