The 64th State Level Empowered Committee meeting was held in the Secretariat on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed that all the departments should provide the desired approvals or reports to the Industries Department soon within the prescribed time limit. He said that the pending cases under the single window system should be disposed of on time.

The Chief Secretary said that more than 200 services of about 30 departments have been included under the single window system. He directed that the departments which are taking applications for approvals offline, should make them online as soon as possible. The Chief Secretary also directed the District Magistrates to dispose of the pending cases at the district level soon. He said that there should be no delay in issuing the no objection certificates issued by the departments under the single window.

The Chief Secretary said that special attention should be paid to connectivity and water supply in the newly formed government and private industrial development areas in the state. He said that a mechanism should be developed to reuse the water released by the effluent treatment plants (ETP) as per the standards, so that the use of drinking water and groundwater for industrial purposes can be reduced.

On this occasion, Secretary Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Hari Chandra Semwal, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Vinay Shankar Pandey and Member Secretary Pollution Control Board Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate along with other senior officers and District Magistrates from the districts were present through video conferencing.
