Uttarakhand: Ex-servicemen and families of martyrs will visit Badrinath for free, brave women and daughters will become drone sisters

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made a big announcement for ex-servicemen today on Saturday 12 March. According to the announcement of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government will provide free travel to Badrinath Dham to ex-servicemen above the age of 60 years and dependents of martyrs, who are above 60 years of age.
In fact, the Dhami government had recently decided to prepare a concrete policy to regularize 22 thousand Upanal employees. Upanal workers were demanding regularization for a long time. Happy for this decision of the government, Upanal employees organized a felicitation ceremony for CM Dhami today, then CM Dhami made this announcement.
The CM said that in the coming time, the state government will also try to connect the bravehearts and daughters of ex-servicemen with self-employment by giving them special training in drone operation through Drone Didi Yojana. From this year, ex-servicemen above the age of 60 years and their families will also be provided free Badrinath Yatra.
CM Dhami said that he himself is the son of a soldier. He has seen the problems and challenges of ex-servicemen and their families closely. The state government is working with commitment for the welfare and upliftment of the soldiers, ex-servicemen and dependents of martyrs of the state.
Apart from this, CM Dhami said that the incentive allowance given to the Upanal employees is now being given every month instead of three months. The government is also giving about Rs 5000 to ex-servicemen with less than 10 years of experience and about Rs 6000 per month as incentive allowance to ex-servicemen with more than 10 years of experience.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has increased the ex-gratia amount given to the dependents of the martyrs from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. The period for giving government job to a member of the martyr’s family and applying for a government job has been increased to 5 years.
Recently, the incentive amount given to the Param Vir Chakra winners has been increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore. In memory of the martyrs of the state, a grand military shrine is being constructed in Guniyal village of the capital Dehradun.
