That is, the more kilometers you drive, the more toll tax you will have to pay. There will also be a facility of annual toll pass for you. Under the new policy, people will get an annual toll pass for Rs 3000 under the government. Once you recharge the Fastag for Rs 3000, then you will be exempted from toll for a year. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this. According to media reports, the government can also consider a lifetime toll plaza pass with a new car. For 30 thousand, you can travel freely at any toll plaza for 15 years. However, there is no consensus on the lifetime pass. That is, if everything goes according to plan, then in a few days you will be able to travel across the country without stopping at the toll plaza. Annual Fastag pass will save both money and time.

New Toll Policy

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said during an event held on Monday, 14 April 2025 that soon a new toll policy will be implemented in the country. Soon the physical toll booths will be removed. After the implementation of the new system, there will be no need to stop at the toll plaza for toll tax. Toll will be deducted automatically through satellite tracking. Vehicle number plate will be identified through satellite and toll will be deducted automatically. This new system will eliminate the need for manual toll collection.
