The incident took place at 5 am on Wednesday. According to the information received, Kalam Singh Danu (67), resident of Chamoli, had gone to his daughter’s house in Preet Vihar with his wife Hira Singh. The couple had left their daughter’s house in the morning to go to Delhi. The couple had left their daughter’s house in the morning to catch a roadways bus. An unknown vehicle ran over the couple on Rampur Road.

Both died on the spot in the accident. It is being told that Kamal was going to Delhi for his wife’s chemotherapy. The police reached the spot and took the bodies of the deceased into custody. After the accident, the driver fled from the spot. The police have started searching for the driver with the help of CCTV.
